I am an assistant professor in the Mass Communications and Journalism Department at Norfolk State University in Norfolk, Virginia.  Over the past 20 years, I have taught courses at universities in Ohio, Washington, DC, New Mexico, New Jersey, Virginia and in the People's Republic of China. As for my research, in the past I have published on the following topics: international sojourning, intercultural relations, agenda-setting, international communication, development communication and media criticism.

Currently, I'm working on variety of research projects.
