I am an assistant professor in the Mass Communications and Journalism Department at Norfolk State University in Norfolk, Virginia. Over the past 20 years, I have taught courses at universities in Ohio, Washington, DC, New Mexico, New Jersey, Virginia and in the People's Republic of China. (Read more about my teaching). As for my research, in the past I have published on the following topics: international sojourning, intercultural relations, agenda-setting, international communication, development communication and media criticism.
